Hollywood superstars, Olympic legends and race fans from across the globe have fallen under the spell of Le Mans. It is one of the most iconic motorsport events in the calendar and we wish all our clients a safe and successful weekend in France.

After a thrilling weekend of testing, our team is back out at the Circuit de la Sarthe for the 84th 24 Hours of Le Mans with Tom Ellis and Tim Nagle on hand to give insurance advice and support and meet clients and friends of Ellis Clowes. Ferrari’s James Calado is one of our sponsored drivers and he can’t wait to start racing.

“I am extremely excited to be racing at Le Mans for the 3rd year running. Last year we finished 2nd so the goal has to be one better. I am looking forward to racing with my new team mates and excited to debut the Ferrari 488 GTE at this great circuit. The atmosphere is incredible. We have huge support over the whole week. I especially appreciate that Ellis Clowes & Company are coming to support me throughout this big event. The only goal is to win!”said James.

Marino Franchitti

Through our partnership with Mark Blundell’s drivers’ management company, MBPartners, we are looking forward to watching Marino Franchitti and Mike Conway is action. Ahead of the race Marino said: “We had a great test and all of the drivers are happy with the car, so we can’t wait to get started, and hopefully we can emulate the Ford victory of 1966.”

Mike Conway’s thoughts on Le Mans: “There are more unknowns this year and we are eager to know exactly where we stand. Even after all the thousands of kilometres we’ve done already, until we do long stints in practice and then flat-out qualifying runs, we don’t know exactly how we compare.”
